The Sem Charitable Trust started in 1974 and over the years it has evolved to what it is today. Today it is pro-active hands on charity, who like to be involved with partnerships with organisations they help.

The charity has worked in many different countries, often where it has sponsored many educational programmes and various groups who are involved in raising the awareness within their communities.

Devonshire House in Glenwood was where a remarkable Shidduch recently played out. The two parties were Michelle Citrin (brought to Durban by Limmud South Africa) and a group of youths from under-resourced areas in KZN (assembled by the SEM Charitable Trust).
